Settling in...

Well...it's been a month now since we've moved into our new home, and we are loving it! Over the past week we have worked on creating "Abbie's playroom". We stripped the wallpaper and have painted it a subtle blue and cream. It looks quite nice! She loves it too!!! She'll crawl out of any room...except her play room! She'll stay right in there and bounce away! We've had some outings since our last post. We've gone apple and pumpking picking, saw some animals in a petting zoo at the church, and put on a zebra costume to hand out candy on Halloween. Here are some pictures of our latest adventures!

Long over due...

Well...we thought we would at least try and put some pictures up. It's been a long time....life has gotten pretty busy. We've moved and are in the midst of unpacking box after box after box after...

We'll post more as soon as we settle in a bit more.

Sitting up

So I'm not sure how long it has been exactly, but Abbie started sitting up a while ago. It's been a great development. Now we can see the back of her head! It has also welcomed a plethora of new toys into the home - she loves to sit and play!

Away in Maine

I've never been one to have difficulty going away(Josh). Unless my parents contest this memory, as a child I remember looking forward to adventures into new, undiscovered regions. A sleep over at grandma's house. The occassional back yard camp out. Camps. Vacations. Conferences. College. Life. New enviroments have always seemed like new stories to create and I always look forward to the next great life story to experience.

I am away as I make this post. The rocky cost of Maine is not far beyond my window. I am at "Work Camp 2006" - a highlight of my year, six years in the running now, serving underprivledged "widows and orphans" in what the biblical author, James, called an effort to experience what "religion" is all about. It is always a great experience from year to year, place to place, story to story.

It's different this year however. I miss my girls. Being "away" suddenly seems pretty far. Posted by Picasa
